Program prices

Valley Green Energy offers three options:

As a new participant, you will be automatically enrolled in VGE Standard Green and will receive an additional 10% of your electricity from renewable sources.
The VGE 100% Green option provides 100% of your electricity from renewable sources.
The VGE Basic option is the least-expensive option in the program.

All Valley Green Energy prices are fixed from November 2024 – November 2026.

As a participant in Valley Green Energy, your electricity supplier will be First Point Power.

What happens in November 2026?

The communities of Valley Green Energy intend to sign a new, long-term contract when the contract with First Point Power expires. New prices will be announced before they take effect, and your account will be automatically enrolled into the new price for your program option unless you opt out or choose a different option.

Please note: Some large commercial accounts may not be eligible for program pricing at the time of enrollment and may instead be offered market pricing.

Compare to your utility’s prices

Valley Green Energy offers long-term prices, but utility prices change seasonally. It is normal for Valley Green Energy prices to be lower than your utility’s price sometimes and higher at other times. The goal of Valley Green Energy is to provide some savings when compared with the average of your utility’s changing prices.
