Your National Grid bill
This page helps you to find Sharon Power Choice on your bill. Check out the calculator to compare the cost of participating in Sharon Power Choice vs. National Grid’s average Basic Service price. |
As a participant in Sharon Power Choice, you will see two changes on your National Grid electric bill:
- Sharon’s electricity supplier will be listed on your bill as your electricity supplier.
- National Grid will use a Sharon Power Choice price to calculate the Supply Services portion of your electric bill instead of their own Basic Service price.
Sharon Power Choice will impact only the Supply Services portion of your National Grid electric bill. National Grid’s Delivery Services charges are not impacted by your participation in Sharon Power Choice.
Here’s what to look for:
Delivery Services
Delivery Services appear on the first page of your bill as a list of charges. Delivery Services charges are not impacted by your participation in Sharon Power Choice. These charges are regulated.
To find Sharon Power Choice on your bill, move past the Delivery Services charges and look for Supply Services charges.
Supply Services
The second part of your bill is Supply Services, which typically appears on the bottom of the first page or at the top of the second page of your bill. Supply Services charges are impacted by your participation in Sharon Power Choice.
If you are enrolled in Sharon Power Choice, the Supply Services portion of your bill will identify Direct Energy as your electricity supplier and will provide their contact information.

Look to the right to the math problem. This is the calculation for your electricity Supply Services charge.
- The first number is your electricity supply price. That price will reflect which Sharon Power Choice option you are enrolled in. (Learn more about program prices.)
- The second number is the amount of electricity you used in the previous billing cycle.
