Example National Grid bill
As a participant in Northborough Power Choice, you will see two changes on your National Grid electric bill:
- Northborough’s electricity supplier will be listed on your bill as your electricity supplier.
- National Grid will use a Northborough Power Choice price to calculate the Supply Services portion of your electric bill instead of their Basic Service price.
Northborough Power Choice will impact only the Supply Services portion of your National Grid electric bill. National Grid’s Delivery Charges are not impacted by your participation in Northborough Power Choice.
Here’s what to look for:
Delivery Services
Delivery Services appear on the first page of your bill as a list of charges. Delivery Services charges are not impacted by your participation in Northborough Power Choice. These charges are regulated.
To find Northborough Power Choice on your bill, move past the Delivery Services charges and look for Supply Services charges.
Supply Services
The second part of your electric bill is Supply Services, which typically appears on the bottom of the first page or at the top of the second page of your bill. Supply Services charges are impacted by your participation in Northborough Power Choice.
If you are enrolled in Northborough Power Choice, the Supply Services portion of your bill will identify Northborough’s electricity supplier and will provide their contact information.
In addition, the price that is used to calculate your Supply Services charge will be a Northborough Power Choice price. To find it, look below the supplier information and find the row labeled Electricity Supply.
Look to the right to the math problem. This is the calculation for your electricity Supply Services charge.
- The first number is your electricity supply price. That price will reflect which Northborough Power Choice option you are enrolled in.
- The second number is the amount of electricity you used in the previous billing cycle.
