Options & Pricing

Newton Power Choice offers three City alternatives to Eversource’s Basic Service and to other electricity supply offers in the marketplace. As a new participant in Newton Power Choice, you will be automatically enrolled in the Standard offering and receive 80% of your electricity from “premium” clean, renewable energy sources in the New England region. You also have two additional choices:

  • The 100% Green option for 100% clean, renewable electricity from “premium” sources in the New England region.
  • The Basic option for only the minimum amount of renewable electricity required by state law.

Electricity supplier: If you participate in Newton Power Choice, you will see Direct Energy listed as your electricity supplier on your Eversource electricity bill. See an example Eversource bill.

Electricity mix: The program’s electricity supplier is required to provide an energy mix disclosure label that offers details about all of the sources of electricity provided. Visit the Resources page to download the most recent label.
