▸ If you have opened a new electricity account in Lexington…
… enrollment in Lexington’s Community Choice program will be AUTOMATIC. This automatic enrollment model is state law. You will receive a letter in the mail from the Town with information about Lexington’s Community Choice program within a couple of months after your have opened your account and before your account is enrolled. The letter will include the Town seal and the Town Manager’s name, as well as information about the program.
Please note that participation in Lexington’s Community Choice program is not required. You are free to opt out of the program before being enrolled and to opt out anytime after enrollment with no fee or penalty.
▸ If you previously signed a contract with an electricity supplier and now wish to enroll in Lexington’s Community Choice program…
…call Constellation New Energy at 1-844-813-7876 to enroll.
We also recommend:
- That you call your current electricity suppler and tell them that you want them to cancel your service with them. Occasionally, your existing enrollment with another electricity supplier can prevent enrollment in Lexington’s Community Choice program.
- That you carefully check the terms and conditions of your supplier agreement. You may be charged an early termination fee, and it may be advantageous for you to wait until the end of your current electricity supply contract before enrolling in Lexington’s Community Choice program. If you decide to wait, be sure to clearly tell your electricity supplier not to keep you enrolled past the end of your contract.

…you are welcome to do so, but you are not guaranteed the Community Choice program price. The electricity supplier may charge you a market price. To find out whether your account will receive the program price or a market price, please call Constellation New Energy at 1-844-813-7876.
