Opt Out

You may choose not to participate in the program. This is called opting out. There is no penalty for opting out, and you may opt out at any time. If you choose to opt out, you will be switched back to Eversource’s Basic Service for your electricity supply.

(If you opt out and then wish to opt back into the program during the same electricity supply contract, you may receive a market price for the duration of the current electricity supply contract.)

If you are a National Grid customer your electricity account number number has 10 digits.
If you are an Eversource customer your electricity account number number has 11 digits.
Your name key is listed on your National Grid bill, but it is not labelled. To find it, 1) look in the blue left column of your bill, 2) locate the Enrollment Information section, and 3) find the word "Cycle." Your name key is listed after your cycle number in capital letters. Your name key is typically the first 4 letters of the last name on a residential account, or the first 4 letters of a commercial account name.
Your name key can be found on the second page of your Eversource bill, directly beneath your account number. Your name key is typically the first 4 letters of the last name on a residential account, or the first 4 letters of a commercial account name.
