Program prices

Foxborough Power Forward offers two options.

As a new participant, you will be automatically enrolled in Power Forward Standard.
The Power Forward Green option is available by request and provides 100% of your electricity from renewable sources.

As a participant in Foxborough Power Forward, your electricity supplier will be Direct Energy until November, changing to First Point Power with your November 2024 meter read.

If you are eligible for a low-income discount or fuel assistance, you continue to receive that benefit as a participant in Foxborough Power Forward. If you have National Grid’s Budget Billing, it continues to apply to your whole bill.

What happens in November 2026?

The Town intends to sign a new, long-term contract when the contract with First Point Power expires. The Town will announce the new prices before they take effect, and your account will be automatically enrolled into the new price for your program option unless you opt out or choose a different option.

Compare to National Grid

Foxborough Power Forward offers long-term prices, but National Grid’s prices change seasonally. It is normal for Foxborough’s prices to be lower than National Grid’s sometimes and higher at other times. The goal of Foxborough Power Forward is to provide savings when compared with the average of National Grid’s changing prices.
