Program news

Beginning in November 2020, a new electricity supply contract will take effect. Program prices will change, program options will have new names, and a new clean-energy option will be available with 40% renewable electricity over and above the minimum amount required by the state (16% in 2020). Active participants do not need to take any action to participate in the new contract in November. You will be automatically enrolled in the corresponding offering under the new contract.

The new prices for the Basic option and the new Greener Option are lower than National Grid’s Winter 2020 residential Basic Service price (though future savings cannot be guaranteed). Scroll down to compare with National Grid’s 6-month Basic Service prices.

Electricity supplier: If you participate in Chelmsford Choice Choice, you will see Public Power listed on your National Grid electricity bill as your electricity supplier. Beginning with your December bill, you will see Constellation.

Electricity mix: The program’s electricity supplier is required to provide an energy mix disclosure label that offers details about all of the sources of electricity provided. Visit the Resources page to download the most recent label.
