…have just opened an electricity account in Chelmsford
You will receive a letter in the mail from the Town with information about automatic enrollment in the program before enrollment occurs. The letter will include the Town seal, the Chelmsford Choice name, and the Town administrator’s name at the bottom. Please note, participation in Chelmsford Choice is not required. You are free to opt out of the program before being enrolled and to opt out any time after enrollment with no fee or penalty.
…have an existing electricity account and a contract with an electricity supplier and wish to enroll
Call customer support with the Town’s consultants at 1-844-483-5004. We recommend that you first carefully check the terms and conditions of your supplier agreement. Your ability to terminate your agreement with your supplier may be restricted. If you decide to enroll, be sure your current supplier has returned your electricity account to National Grid’s Basic Service before calling customer support.
…previously opted out and now wish to enroll
You are not guaranteed the Chelmsford Choice price, though you might receive it. The electricity supplier may charge you a market price. To request enrollment and find out whether your account will receive the program price or a market price, please call customer support at 1-844-483-5004.
