Beverly Community Electric offers three options. As a new participant, you will be automatically enrolled in Beverly Standard, which provides an additional 10% of your electricity from renewable sources.

The Beverly 100% Clean option is available by request and provides 100% of your electricity from renewable sources.
The Beverly Basic option is also available by request and provides the lowest price in the program.

All Beverly Community Electric prices are fixed until January 2026.

As a participant in Beverly Community Electric, your electricity supplier will be First Point Power.

I currently have National Grid’s Budget Plan and/or receive a low-income discount. Will this change?

If you are eligible for a low-income discount or fuel assistance, you continue to receive that benefit. If you have National Grid’s Budget Billing, it continues to apply to your whole bill.

What happens in January 2026?

The City intends to sign a new, long-term contract when the contract with First Point Power expires. The City will announce the new prices before they take effect, and your account will be automatically enrolled into the new price for your program option unless you opt out or choose a different option.

Compare to National Grid

Beverly Community Electric offers long-term prices, but National Grid’s prices change seasonally. It is normal for Beverly’s prices to be lower than National Grid sometimes and higher at other times. It is the goal of Beverly Community Electric to provide savings when compared with the average of National Grid’s changing prices.
