Example National Grid bill
As a participant in Hanover Energy Choice, you will see two changes on your National Grid electric bill:
- Hanover’s electricity supplier will be listed on your bill as your electricity supplier.
- National Grid will use a Hanover Energy Choice price to calculate the Supply Services portion of your electric bill instead of their Basic Service price.
Hanover Energy Choice will impact only the Supply Services portion of your National Grid electric bill. National Grid’s Delivery Charges are not impacted by your participation in Hanover Energy Choice.
Here’s what to look for:
Delivery Services
Delivery Services appear on the first page of your bill as a list of charges. Delivery Services charges are not impacted by your participation in Hanover Energy Choice. These charges are regulated.
To find Hanover Energy Choice on your bill, move past the Delivery Services charges and look for Supply Services charges.
Supply Services
The second part of your is Supply Services, which typically appears on the bottom of the first page or at the top of the second page of your bill. Supply Services charges are impacted by your participation in Hanover Energy Choice.
If you are enrolled in Hanover Energy Choice, the Supply Services portion of your bill will identify Hanover’s electricity supplier and will provide their contact information.
In addition, the price that is used to calculate your Supply Services charge will be a Hanover Energy Choice price. To find it, look below the supplier information and find the row labeled Electricity Supply.
Look to the right to the math problem. This is the calculation for your electricity Supply Services charges.
- The first number is your electricity supply price. That price will reflect which Hanover Energy Choice option you are enrolled in.
- The second number is the amount of electricity you used in the previous billing cycle.
