The Natick Electricity Aggregation Program provides residents and businesses with choices regarding the price and environmental impact of their electricity. The program is provided as a service to the community, and the Town does not make any money on this program. New electricity customers in Natick are eligible for automatic enrollment in the program on a periodic basis, but you can leave at any time with no fee.

As part of the program, participants enjoy consumer protections, and long-term, stable pricing. The program also offers the potential for savings compared with Eversource’s Basic Service prices, but because Eversource’s prices change and their future prices are not known, savings can never be guaranteed.

More than half of Massachusetts cities and towns have similar electricity aggregation programs.

Cleaner electricity and consumer-friendly choices

The Natick Electricity Aggregation Program offers three consumer-friendly electricity choices. New electricity accounts in Natick are automatically enrolled in Standard Green, the program’s default offering. The program also offers two options that are available by request: 100% Green to receive 100% renewable electricity and Natick Basic/Brown to receive just the minimum amount of renewable electricity required by law.

Participate

 New electricity accounts in Natick will be eligible for automatic enrollment in the Natick Electricity Aggregation Program. Automatic enrollment occurs on a periodic basis and only after you receive a notice in the mail from the Town. You may also choose to enroll online or with a phone call. Submit an enrollment request.

 Use this online calculator to compare the program prices with the most recent 12-month average of Eversource’s Basic Service prices and to see the greenhouse gas emissions avoided by opting up to the 100% Green option. Or compare program prices to Eversource’s current 6-month Basic Service price. (Please note that the program cannot guarantee to provide savings compared with Eversource’s Basic Service prices.)

How it works

 A municipal electricity aggregation is a group electricity purchasing program. Participating in the Natick Electricity Aggregation Program will change your electricity supplier and the price Eversource uses to calculate the Supply portion of your electric bill, but participating will not replace Eversource as your electric utility. Please note that, while the Natick Electricity Aggregation Program offers the potential for savings when compared with Eversource’s Basic Service prices, there is no guarantee of savings. This is because Eversource’s prices change seasonally and future Eversource prices are unknown.
